Effective from 2 October 2026. This English version is a courtesy translation only; in case of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version prevails.

(the "Provider")

2. General provisions
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the services — guided ebike tours and ebike rental — offered on matrakaland.hu (the "Website"), operated by the Provider. The language of the contract is Hungarian.
By submitting a booking, the Customer confirms having read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy; a booking can only be submitted by ticking the acceptance checkbox. The Provider may amend these Terms; amendments do not affect already confirmed bookings.
3. Subject of the service
Guided ebike tours in the Mátra and Cserhát hills, and ebike rental, per the route, duration, difficulty level and price shown on the relevant tour/rental page, which also lists what is and isn't included.
In case of a significant change not attributable to the Customer (e.g. weather, road closure, insufficient group size), the Provider will offer an equivalent alternative date or a full refund.
4. Prices and payment
Prices shown on the Website are in Hungarian forints (HUF), gross. Payment is made exclusively online, in advance, by bank card through the Website's payment provider; payment on site is not possible. Our payment providers are Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (The One Building, 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland) and Barion Payment Zrt. (registered seat: 1117 Budapest, Irinyi József utca 4-20., Hungary; company registration no. 01-10-048552; an e-money institution supervised by the Central Bank of Hungary, licence no. H-EN-I-1064/2013) — with Barion, payment by Barion Wallet balance is also possible. The payment method(s) currently available are shown on the booking form. The Customer is redirected to the provider's secure payment page; the Provider never sees or stores card data.
A booking becomes final once the payment provider confirms successful payment; the Customer then receives an automatic confirmation e-mail, typically within a few hours. Until payment is completed, the reserved slot is held temporarily and is released automatically if payment fails or is not completed in time.
5. Booking process
The Customer selects a tour/rental, date and number of participants on the Website, provides the required details, accepts these Terms, and completes payment on the payment provider's secure payment page. On successful payment, the Provider sends a confirmation e-mail (with a calendar file) containing the booking details and voucher.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Under Section 29(1)(l) of Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.), consumers generally do not have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for leisure services tied to a specific performance date (such as a scheduled guided tour). Notwithstanding this, the Provider voluntarily offers the following cancellation terms:
- The Customer may cancel a booking at any time between confirmation and the start of the tour/rental, without giving a reason, and will receive a full refund.
- Once the tour/rental has started, cancellation/refund no longer applies to the portion of the service already performed.
- Refunds are issued within 14 days of the Provider confirming the cancellation, using the same method as the original payment, through the original payment provider.
- If a tour is cancelled for reasons within the Provider's control (e.g. weather, insufficient participants, force majeure), the Provider will refund the full price or, at the Customer's choice, offer an alternative date.
7. Liability
Participation in tours requires a reasonable level of fitness; by booking, the Customer confirms their health allows participation. The Provider takes reasonable care to ensure safe operation (helmet provided, equipment checked, experienced guides), but participation is at the Customer's own risk. The Provider's liability is governed by applicable Hungarian law (Civil Code).
8. Complaints and redress
Complaints can be submitted by e-mail ([email protected]), phone (+36 30 475 8383) or post to the Provider's registered seat. Oral complaints are addressed immediately; written complaints within 30 days.
If a complaint is not resolved, the Customer may turn to:
- The competent conciliation body: the Conciliation Board operating at the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Chamber of Commerce and Industry — 3525 Miskolc, Szentpáli u. 1., Hungary; postal address: 3501 Miskolc, P.O. Box 376; phone: (46) 501-090/105.
- The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
- The consumer protection authority competent for the Customer's place of residence.
9. Copyright
All content on the Website (text, photos, graphics) belongs to the Provider or its licensors; use requires the Provider's prior written consent.
10. Miscellaneous
Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code and Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on detailed rules for contracts between consumers and businesses.
